The Ladder
The Ladder
Me and my class have an unusual way to go to school. We have to climb a colossal ladder. When I climb it I hear branches snapping next to me, rocks falling and hitting the ground and trees rustling. I see birds flying around and trees dancing. I felt like I was going to skid off the huge
ladder. I was starting to feel nauseous as I was climbing the ladder. I wonder if a big gust of wind would push someone off?? Is the ladder stable so I can climb it?

My Hoilday
In the Holidays my cousins and Nanna and Grandad came over from Dunedin for a week. It was awesome. We went for some walks like Hokitika Gorge and some other ones. We also went to the town pool and we played on the inflatables. I fell off a couple times and so did my cousins. We had a really fun time.

My brother willbur
In the holidays I went to my nanas while my mum was in the hospital having a baby. The night before I was watching a movie on Netflix but then I heard my aunty telling my mum's uncle and my grandad that my mum was going to the hospital. Sunday, when we woke up my Nanny said guess what. I said mum had a baby because our aunty said that. The baby is a boy and his name is Wilbur

Tech Famine
Here is a snap of all the children that sent in pictures and videos of the creative things they did during the tech famine. In the end only 11 children sent in pictures and as a result everyone got a prize. The ICT committee then picked their favourite photo/video and that person got two. The ICT committees favourite activity was Harrison reading to his baby brother!

Science
Summer from Half Moon Bay School in Stewart Island asked us to take part in her science experiment. She sent us a device to collect rain water from our region and a red tube to post it back to her. We are now learning about the water cycle to help us better understand Summer's experiment.

Shantytown for Maths Week
We have had the most amazing day at Shantytown for maths week. We played detectives for the day and had to find different clues to help us solve the case of the disappearing items. A huge shoutout to all the parents that came along and helped on the day and to Jude and Lisa at Shantytown for organising the whole day!
