Science

Summer from Half Moon Bay School in Stewart Island asked us to take part in her science experiment. She sent us a device to collect rain water from our region and a red tube to post it back to her. We are now learning about the water cycle to help us better understand Summer's experiment.

Shantytown

Shantytown for Maths Week

We have had the most amazing day at Shantytown for maths week. We played detectives for the day and had to find different clues to help us solve the case of the disappearing items. A huge shoutout to all the parents that came along and helped on the day and to Jude and Lisa at Shantytown for organising the whole day!

What is the Greasiest Chip?

For science today we were trying to find out what the greasiest chip is. We discussed how to complete a fair test and then came up with a hypothesis. Once we were finished our experiment we had a discussion about how we could improve this experiment.

Kia Kaha

Today we discussed our rights and responsibilities as a class and then played a range of games to help us remember them. We had some really great discussions about what our rights and responsibilities mean to us and how we would see these inside our class.
